aliasvault.io is moving to cloqd.me

Cloqd has always been this service's real name. While we were testing, we held that name back and ran on aliasvault.io instead.

But AliasVault is the name of a separate project: the excellent open-source password and email-alias manager by Lanedirt (aliasvault.com, github.com/lanedirt). We are not affiliated with it, and we don't want anyone to mistake one for the other.

So we're going by our own name. The service now lives at cloqd.me, and aliasvault.io will soon change hands.

The Cloqd family of domains

We're moving under our own family of names. cloq.lol, the shortest name in the family, is meant for anyone who wants a short address.

What you need to do

  • Sign in again at cloqd.me. Sign-ins from aliasvault.io don't carry over. Your account, aliases and mail are all here.
  • If you have an @aliasvault.io address, it keeps receiving mail for now, but it will stop when the domain changes hands. Change it wherever you've used it, and make a new alias on one of our other domains.
  • If you shared a bio page link that starts with aliasvault.io/, copy the new one from your dashboard. The old link stops working after the handover.
  • If you verified contacts in Secure Messages, compare safety numbers again. Verifications are kept in your browser, so they don't move with the site.
  • If you added Cloqd to your home screen, add it again from cloqd.me.

Thank you for testing with us. Nothing else about your account changes.
