WHOIS / RDAP Lookup
Registration dates, registrar, nameservers and status for a domain.
This tool has to ask the internet. What you enter is sent to our server, which queries public DNS, registry or certificate data on your behalf. We never log it, store it, or pass it to anyone else — but unlike the browser-only tools, it does leave your device.
About the WHOIS / RDAP Lookup
Looks up a domain registration through RDAP, the structured successor to WHOIS, and shows the registrar, the creation, update and expiry dates, the nameservers, and the status codes that say whether the domain is locked or pending deletion.
When you would use it
- Checking when a domain expires or when it was first registered.
- Identifying the registrar so you know who to contact.
- Reading status codes such as clientTransferProhibited before attempting a transfer.
What it does not tell you
The query runs from our server, since registries are not reachable from a browser. Registrant contact details are redacted for most domains under privacy rules, so an empty contact field is normal and not a sign of anything. Coverage varies by top-level domain: some registries publish far less than others, and a few still offer no RDAP service at all.
