UUID Generator
Generate random version 4 UUIDs in bulk.
Everything here runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, paste, or upload is ever sent to a server, logged, or stored.
About the UUID Generator
Generates version 4 UUIDs — 128-bit identifiers that are essentially all random — one at a time or in bulk, ready to paste into code, a database or a test fixture.
When you would use it
- Needing identifiers that will not collide without coordinating with anything.
- Creating test data or seed records.
- Generating a batch of unique keys quickly.
What it does not tell you
A version 4 UUID is random, so it carries no ordering and sorts arbitrarily — which can hurt database index performance if you use one as a primary key without thinking about it. It is also not a secret: it is unguessable in practice, but an identifier appearing in URLs is the wrong place to put anything that needs to stay private. Generated in your browser.
