URL Encoder / Decoder

Percent-encode and decode URLs and query strings.

Everything here runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, paste, or upload is ever sent to a server, logged, or stored.

About the URL Encoder / Decoder

Percent-encodes and decodes URLs and query strings, so characters with a reserved meaning — spaces, ampersands, slashes, question marks, non-Latin text — travel as data instead of being read as structure.

When you would use it

  • Building a query string that contains a URL, a space or an ampersand.
  • Reading a link full of %20 and %3A to see what it actually says.
  • Debugging a parameter that arrives truncated at an unexpected character.

What it does not tell you

There is more than one correct answer depending on where in a URL a value sits: encoding a whole URL and encoding one query parameter are different jobs, and a plus sign means a space in a form body but a literal plus in a path. Encoding is not sanitisation and does not by itself make a value safe to place in a page.
