Timestamp Converter
Convert between Unix epoch and human-readable dates.
Everything here runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, paste, or upload is ever sent to a server, logged, or stored.
About the Timestamp Converter
Converts between Unix epoch timestamps and human-readable dates in both directions, in seconds and milliseconds, showing the result in UTC and in your local timezone.
When you would use it
- Making sense of a numeric timestamp in a log or a database row.
- Producing an epoch value for an API that expects one.
- Checking what a token expiry claim actually corresponds to.
What it does not tell you
Seconds and milliseconds look alike and are wrong by a factor of a thousand — a value that lands in 1970 is almost always milliseconds being read as seconds. Epoch time ignores leap seconds, and any conversion involving a local timezone depends on your machine being set correctly.
