SSL Certificate Checker

Inspect a site's TLS certificate, chain, expiry and hostname coverage.

This tool has to ask the internet. What you enter is sent to our server, which queries public DNS, registry or certificate data on your behalf. We never log it, store it, or pass it to anyone else — but unlike the browser-only tools, it does leave your device.

About the SSL Certificate Checker

Fetches a site's TLS certificate and shows you the issuer, the validity dates, the chain it was served with, and every hostname the certificate actually covers.

When you would use it

  • Finding out how long you have before a certificate expires.
  • Diagnosing a browser warning about a name mismatch.
  • Checking that a server is sending its intermediate certificates and not only the leaf.

What it does not tell you

This reads the certificate a server presents right now, from our server. It cannot tell you whether the private key has leaked, and a valid certificate says only that someone proved control of the name — never that the site behind it is trustworthy.
